The Easiest and Least Expensive Way to Make Cold Brew Coffee

Posted by CSN on

People have been drinking cold coffee for years. You may have tried iced coffee in the past and loved it or hated it. So what’s the big deal with Cold Brew Coffee? Iced coffee and cold brew coffee are completely different animals.  Let’s take a few minutes to look at what sets these two drinks apart.

ICED COFFEE - People have been drinking iced coffee for years. The recipe for iced coffee is straight forward.  Simply brew coffee using the normal method, let it cool, and then pour it over ice. BAM! You have iced coffee. So what does it taste like? Well it taste like hot coffee only cold, and watered down a bit by the melting ice. Basically iced coffee is just another way to drink coffee. Is it good? Sure - if you like cold, possibly watery, coffee.

COLD BREW COFFEE - Cold brew refers to the unique method by which the coffee is brewed. With the cold brew process the ground coffee is allowed to steep in cold water for about 24 hours; much like the steeping process used to make quality iced tea. The cold brew process extracts all of the delicious flavor and caffeine from the coffee, without some of the bitter tasting elements and acidity that come from coffee that has been brewed with hot water. The result is a bold but very smooth coffee with a taste profile that is very different and far superior to iced coffee. Bottom line: there is no comparison. Cold brew coffee is a coffee lovers dream come true!

COLD BREW MADE EASY - Many cold brew systems require multiple steps and create a coffee concentrate that then has to be watered down. CSN has made Cold Brew Coffee easy and affordable. We have designed a product that has 4oz of premium quality coffee in a sealed filter called a “Pitcher Pack”.  You simply add one pitcher pack to a 64oz pitcher of cold water and place it in the refrigerator. After 24 or so hours, simply remove the pitcher pack and you’re ready to enjoy your cold brew. We literally can't make it any easier than that! Your cold brew coffee will keep in the refrigerator for about 10 days. Oh yeah, by the way, the used pitcher pack is also 100% biodegradable.
